WHAT'S NEW AT EHS!

EHS Blood Drive - #KaydenStrong!

First of all a big THANK YOU to those of you who put flyers out, passed the word along, and came out to donate for the Blood Drive supporting Kayden
Watts, one of our 3-year-olds receiving treatment for
Medulloblastoma, which is a cancerous tumor in the brain. We had over 100 people who come out to give blood on Tues, Oct 22, 2019! The Blood Center was expecting way fewer, so were extremely thankful for all of the donors and the community support.
Kayden and his family appreciate your efforts. I have attached a few pics for viewing
.

Kinderlime is Here!!!

We are starting to use a program called KINDERLIME, which is designed to keep parents updated on what's going on with their child throughout the day. Using their classroom IPads, teachers will record activities like naps, meals, bathroom breaks, mood, notes, and much more right from the app and text this information to you. Teachers can also send you photos and videos of your child doing activities throughout the day, as well as communicate with you using the chat function.  You should have already or will soon start receiving invitations on your cell phone to begin use, so make sure that your cell phone number is up-to-date with your family advocate! See https://www.kinderlime.com/ for more info!

TRUNK-OR-TREAT 2019! – OCT 31 @9:30AM

It’s that time again…..Trunk-or-Treat! Each year, each Early Head Start and Child Care Partnership site fills their parking lots with cars (decorated by parents and community partners) and decks out their trunks with Halloween decorations that would rival that of any home!  Teachers and volunteer parents move children from car to car collecting candy at each stop.  All participants are told to bring infant/toddler-safe treats and no peanut butter allowed!  We play kids Halloween music and give the parents and kids in our community the opportunity to show off the kids amazing costumes!  We even have a decorating contest with a prize going to the best decorated trunk.  Also, volunteer parents dress up as Wizard of Oz characters and go from classroom to classroom doing a little skit and giving away age-appropriate books to all participating children.  Come out and join us! We would love to have volunteers or community partners who just want to see little ones decked out in their spooky best!
